My name is David Troest, and I am an experienced Danish freehand tattoo artist and painter with a passion for creating unique, personalized designs. I’ve been drawing since childhood, and my journey into tattoo art began during my teenage years while playing rock and metal music.
In 2007, I started my apprenticeship at a local tattoo studio that specialized in freehand work. This sparked my love for the creative, personal process behind each tattoo. At the same time, I was introduced to oil painting, which soon became a significant part of my artistic journey alongside tattooing.
In 2012 and 2016, I traveled to California to study oil painting, focusing on advanced techniques and creature design – a genre I continue to dedicate myself to today.
From 2013 to 2024, I worked at Tattoos By Larsen in Ringsted, a studio renowned for its emphasis on freehand tattooing. During this time, I developed my own unique style and strong values centered on personal expression in tattoo art.
In 2024, I opened my own studio, Dream Weaver Gallery, in Ringsted, where I combine years of experience as a tattoo artist and painter to craft one-of-a-kind tattoos for my clients.
